How Excellent His Name Is!

Good morning...

A woman must have her coffee! Getting up and out, first thing, for no other reason than heading to the nearest Starbuck's for a quick fix, reminds me of the old postman's creed:

"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers
from the swift completion of their appointed rounds"

I'm not so sure that word 'swift' still applies (ahem), but Monday morning when I was out on a mission in the early dawn's darkness, I could just imagine those ancient couriers of the Persian empire scurrying about with determination. They probably feared losing their heads, while I was merely trying to get my coffee and get the fog out of mine!

Anyhoo, thanks to the pocket-sized Canon my daughter handed down to me, I got to pull onto the gravely shoulder on my way home and snap these photos of God's handiwork!

See? Coffee cravings are a good thing, because without them gorgeous sunrises are missed!

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which You have ordained,
what is man that You are mindful of him,
and the son of man that You visit him?
...
O LORD, our Lord,
how excellent is Your name in all the earth!

Psalm 8:3 & 9

What beautiful pictures! I sure do love sunrises!!

P.S. I tried to send you an email yesterday, but it came back to me. I'm not sure I've got your address right. I'll keep trying.

Wow. Was that creed from the Persian empire? I did not remember that.

I liked your early morning photos. The sunrise is God's blessing to us for just getting out of bed. :-)

Thanks for stopping by. I like that you bring joy by being an encourager.

We haven't seen the sun for a week now, so those pictures just brightened my day!

Amen to early mornings, sunrises and singing His praises! No coffee, though, I'm a tea girl, myself!
