I have all kinds of ideas that also will do you good, with your sewing projects!
1. Use your old pajamas (my beloved nightie was so worn the fabric finally shredded apart) to make a pattern for some new ones! (For the photo, I had to stand on my bathtub edge and snap a picture of me in the mirror.)
2. Use ribbon (non-wired) instead of bias tape! All you have to do is fold it in half, with the back side a tad longer than the front side, to ensure you catch all the seam.
3. When needing to keep tabs on your pattern pieces, such as which side is the front or back, write it on scraps of freezer paper and press it on. It peels right off when your project is finished, and you don't have to watch for sharp poking pins!
4. When you're sewing, that means you are NOT in the kitchen using your cookbook holder. So, go get it and put it in front of your machine as a quilt book holder (and perhaps, soon, a
